Here's the latest on the 'Movers & Shakers' front.


Barclays Capital has announced that Jack Inglis has joined the firm as Managing Director, Head of European Prime Services Distribution.

Inglis will be based in London and will oversee Barclays Capital's European Prime Services Distribution business, which includes Equity Origination and Financing Sales, Fixed Income Origination and Financing Sales teams, Futures Origination and Execution teams, FX PB sales, OTC Clearing and Intermediation sales and the European Capital Solutions team. He will report to Munir Dauhajre, Head of Prime Services Distribution and Omar Selim, Head of European and EEMEA Distribution.

Inglis' career spans over 27-years during which time he has held senior positions across a range of equity-financing businesses, as well as a significant period of time in the Fixed Income space. Most recently he was CEO at Ferox Capital Management.


Cowen Group has announced the appointment of Kevin Raidy as head of the firm's Private Equity Capital Markets Group. He will be based in New York, and most recently was a Managing Director at Ramius LCC, where he as Portfolio Manager for PIPEs / Opportunistic Financings and Convertible bonds.


Credit Suisse has appointed Lucas Kiely as Head of Equity Derivatives Sales in Australia, and Chelsea Wise comes aboard as Head of Structured Product Sales. Both arrive from UBS.



Deutsche Bank has announced two additions to Group Technology and Operations for Global Prime Finance.

Anthony Graffeo joined as a Director and Head of Technical Architecture for Global Prime Finance. Graffeo joined from JPMorgan, where he was a manager in the technology group for prime brokerage and clearing services. Prior to JPMorgan, he was a managing partner of iDATA Corporation, Inc., where he provided technology consulting for large banks. Graffeo reports to Sanjay Chojar, Managing Director and Head of Global Prime Finance Information Technology.

Sunita Vaswani has joined as a Director and Head of User Experience for Global Prime Finance. Vaswani joined from JP Morgan, where she was a manager in the user experience group. Prior to JP Morgan, Vaswani spent 11 years at MYOB US, Inc., most recently as a manager in user experience. Vaswani reports to Prasad Yenamandra, Director and Head of Functional Architecture for Global Prime Finance.

Deutsche Securities Inc. (DSI) has announced it will expand the coverage of its Global Markets Research department to the Auto Parts and Tires sector with the appointment of Takashi Moriwaki as Vice President and Analyst.

Moriwaki will work in partnership with Autos sector analyst Kurt Sanger. He joins DSI from Nomura Securities Co., Ltd. where he was auto parts analyst from 2007.


Jefferies announced the addition of two professionals to its Fixed Income Emerging Markets sales and trading effort in Asia. 

Sandy Oh and Eng Keong Ong join as Senior Vice Presidents to focus on the sales and trading, respectively, of emerging markets debt to institutional investors throughout Asia.  Both are based in Singapore.

Oh has more than 15 years of fixed income sales experience in Asia,
including five years as Head of Credit Sales in the Singapore office of

Eng Keong Ong has more than nine years of industry experience and joins
Jefferies from DZ Bank AG, where he was Credit Trader for Asian bonds.

The firm also announced the addition of James McGinley as a Managing Director and Head of Municipal Securities Markets.  He will work closely with Alan Greco, Head of Municipal Trading, and Drew Levinson, Head of Municipal Sales.

McGinley brings to Jefferies 20 years of municipal securities industry
experience, and joins the firm from Barclays, where he was a Managing
Director and ran municipal high grade, taxable and proprietary trading, as
well as competitive bidding.  

Jefferies also announced the appointment of Paul Grimsey and David Simms as Senior Traders in Jefferies' European Sales and Trading Credit business.

Grimsey joins Jefferies to head the firm's Sterling credit business. He has
over 25 years experience in the Sterling market, gained at investment banks
including Dresdner Kleinwort, Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch.

Simms has over seventeen years of industry experience, most recently as a
Senior Portfolio Manager at European Credit Management. Previously, he
spent ten years at Merrill Lynch in London and Tokyo where he was Head of
Financials Trading and the Asset Swap Book.


Lazard announced that it has hired Marc Katz as a Managing Director in the Global Telecommunications, Media and Technology Investment Banking Group. Based in New York, Katz joins Lazard from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was a Managing Director in the M&A group advising on media and telecommunications transactions.


Morgan Stanley has hired Kimberley Greenberger as a Managing Director and Senior Analyst, covering specialty stores. Greenberger comes aboard in August from Citi.


Nomura Securities North America, LLC, has announced Mark Epley has joined as a managing director in Investment Banking based in New York. Epley will be Co-Global Head of Sponsors together with Saba Nazar based in London.

Epley joins from Deutsche Bank where he was most recently Global Head of Financial Sponsor Coverage. He covered top-tier private equity accounts, including Apollo and Blackstone, and built a thriving business with his clientele. In 2004, he was named Head of Americas Financial Sponsor Coverage.


RBC Capital Market has announced that it has made a significant hire to its European business, with the appointment of Nick Fothergill as a Managing Director and Head of European Equities.
Fothergill joins RBC Capital Markets with over 17 years financial services experience, most recently at Nomura, where he was a Managing Director and Head of Sales and Trading for Sector Specialist Sales and Industry Groups.


Sandler O'Neill has announced that Carlos Mendez has joined the firm to lead its newly created Structured Finance Group. Mendez will be based in New York, and was previously a Senior Managing Director in the capital markets division of International Credit Partners LLC.


Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking has announced the appointments of Jan Casper Hoffmann as Managing Director, Head of M&A in Germany, and Alessandro Franzosi as Managing Director, co-Head of M&A in Italy with Marco Belletti.

Caspar jonis from Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity, and Franzosi comes aboard from Morgan Stanley in Milan.

The firm has also announced the appointment of Hikaru Ogata as CEO for the Asia-Pac region, based in Hong Kong. Ogata arrives from BNP Paribas, where he was most recently Global Head of Fixed Income Distribution.


UBS Investment bank has announced the appointment of Jerome Peltier as co-head of France with Charles-Henri Le-Bret. Peltier comes aboard from Deutsche Bank.
