Reuters reports that German business magazine Junge Karriere has just undertaken a survey of office workers. 26% were happy in their work and had no cause to complain, but 38% of the Germans who were polled admitted to being bothered about their fellow office worker's body odour.
Keen to get your work/life balance right ? Well, go to Sweden. According to a recent poll released by New York research firm NOP World, Swedes spend 36.7 hours a week at work and 36.4 hours at 'play'. Sweden got the balance as close as any one of the 31 countries surveyed.
Americans come in at 41.7 hours work a week and 38.3 play. Asia appears to be the most hardworking region - Hong Kong (48 hours work a week), South Korea (50.7 hours) and Taiwan (50.9 hours). The global working week average is 40.6 hours.
The global average is 39.2 hours a week at play. Taiwan comes in at 47.5, Egypt at 48.6 and Thailand (surprise, surprise) at 54.1 hours.
