The Celtic midfielder was in impressive form against the Estonian champions.

Some Celtic fans have been left impressed by midfielder Olivier Ntcham after his performance against Nomme Kalju on Tuesday night.
Neil Lennon’s side ran out 2-0 winners versus the Estonian champions thanks to a Kalju own goal that Ntcham had a big part of in the build-up, as well as a Marian Shved debut effort.
Ntcham’s turn, run and through ball allowed Mikey Johnston to cross well into the box, with Leigh Griffiths putting enough pressure on Aleksandr Kulinits to turn the ball into his own net.
Beyond that, the midfielder was a real driving force throughout before being substituted off late in the match. He managed to consistently find enough space to pick out teammates and take shots at goal, really testing the home side.
Given his first start of the summer so far after international duty, the Frenchman looked keen to put his recent controversial comments behind him and impress his manager.
It appears whatever clear-the-air talks Lennon has had with the player have worked a treat.
What kind of role he’ll play at Celtic this season remains to be seen with fierce competition in midfield from Ryan Christie, Callum McGregor and Tom Rogic potentially limiting his appearances.
However, if the 23-year-old can continue to produce big performances like tonight’s it’ll be hard to exclude him.
Celtic’s 7-0 aggregate win in the second qualifying round means they will progress to the next stage of UEFA Champions League qualifying and face Romanian champions CFR Cluj, who overcame Maccabi Tel-Aviv 3-2 on aggregate this evening.
