Speaking to the Mirror, Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has told his teammates they must get angry to secure victories against teams lower down the league.
The Reds have enjoyed a strong start to the season, picking up 20 points from nine games to sit joint top of the Premier League alongside Arsenal and Manchester City.
Their only disappointing result has been against Burnley, with Sean Dyche’s side beating them 2-0 at Turf Moor.
A defeat to a team lower down the league was not that surprising for Jurgen Klopp’s side, who dropped 12 points against the bottom six in the division last year.

That kind of record will have to be overcome if they are to be contenders and Can says they must start getting angry to do so.
“It’s very important because last year we lost games and dropped points against teams, who were lower down the league,” he told the Mirror.
“So I think we have to be angry before games, but also approach them with confidence because we know our strengths. If we can keep playing as well as we can, then hopefully we are capable of winning lots of games.”

If Liverpool are to start winning against those so-called lower teams, a win over Crystal Palace this weekend is the perfect way to start doing so.
The Eagles are currently 11th in the table with 11 points from their first nine games of the season.
The Reds have a poor recent record against them in the Premier League, having only beaten them once in their last five league meetings and a win would signify Jurgen Klopp’s team are serious this year.
