The Borussia Dortmund star is the perfect signing for the Liverpool midfield.

It is looking increasingly likely that Liverpool will be losing Emre Can this summer. The German international is out of contract at Anfield in June and Juventus have been pursuing his signature for some time.
The rumour mill in Italy today, suggests such a deal is already done.
Can is a brilliant footballer but if he does depart Liverpool, who are already adding the more attack minded Naby Keita from RB Leipzig in the summer, must bring in an improvement on the departing German.
One name that immediately springs to mind is that of Borussia Dortmund midfield maestro Julian Weigl.

The defensive midfielder has been linked with plenty of teams in his career but a move to Liverpool would make perfect sense.
Jurgen Klopp will be no stranger to his talents, considering his obvious appreciation of the Bundesliga. Weigl is also exactly what Liverpool need in midfield.
In Georginio Wijnaldum they have a good player, but not the class needed to take Liverpool to the next level. Jordan Henderson is composed, but lacks invention.

Weigl is the perfect solution to both issues. A forward thinking passer of the ball who is also great in the breakdown and not afraid to get stuck in.
With Weigl, along with Keita, Liverpool would have an incredible midfield and one which could hopefully take them on to the next level.
