Emma Raducanu and coach Francisco Roig ended their partnership following the 2026 Australian Open.

The split came after six months together on the WTA Tour. Since then, Raducanu hasn’t named a permanent replacement, but she’s recently been working with LTA coach Alexis Canter.

Under his guidance, Raducanu reached the final of the Transylvania Open in Romania. It was her first appearance in a final since winning the US Open in 2021.

As she gets ready to return at Indian Wells, Raducanu has provided an update on her coaching plans moving forward.

Speaking to ‘The Guardian,’ Raducanu explained her current coaching situation.

“Right now I wouldn’t say I’m actively looking for a coach,” she said.

“Right now I have Alexis [Canter] in my corner.

“He knows me as a person. He knows me as a player. And I’ve actually had some success with him in the past year in Washington and Cluj.”

She added that the decision was more about alignment than results.

“I think I had a great experience with Francis [Roig] in terms of how we got on so well… the rapport was great,” she said.

“I think, in the end, we just weren’t aligning on certain key aspects.”

Emma Raducanu’s upcoming schedule and recent form

Emma Raducanu heads into the Indian Wells and Miami Open doubleheader following a pair of early exits in the Middle East, hoping to rediscover the form that took her to the Transylvania Open final earlier this month.

In Qatar, just two days after her loss to Sorana Cirstea in Cluj, Raducanu faced Camila Osorio. She won the first set 6-2 but retired in the third due to illness after dropping the second set 6-4.

She then moved on to Dubai, where she fell 6-1, 5-7, 6-2 to Croatian lucky loser Antonia Ruzic, marking her third straight defeat.

Raducanu has historically performed reasonably well at Indian Wells and Miami but will be hoping for a stronger showing this time around.
