Enzo Fernandez, who is a big player for Chelsea, started for Argentina in their CONMEBOL 2026 World Cup qualifier against Ecuador.
Lionel Messi scored the only goal of the match in the 78th minute.
The former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain forward found the back of the net with a brilliant free kick.
Fernandez, 22, did not have the best of times in the first half, but the Chelsea star stepped up his game in the second period.
A switch in positions in the second half allowed Fernandez to play his natural game, especially in the final 30 minutes when the £315,000-a-week (Spotac) star was at his very best.
