Manchester City’s interest in Jack Grealish is well known, but it has now emerged that another big-name Aston Villa player is a wanted man – Emiliano Martinez.
What’s the story?
As reported by The Guardian, Premier League champions City have opened talks with Villa over the transfer of Grealish.
The Villans want to keep hold of the England international attacking midfielder, but Grealish himself may want to move on.
Moreover, an offer of £100 million could be hard for Villa to turn down.
It has now emerged that Villa have to worry about another top player’s future.
Emi Martinez.
90min are reporting that Martinez – who joined Villa from Arsenal last summer for £20 million, as reported by The Guardian – is a transfer target for a top European club.

The club has not been named in the report.
The report has claimed that this unnamed ‘big European side’ recently made contact with the Copa America winner’s camp to check on his availability.
This has led Villa to take action.

The Premier League club are now ready to offer the 28-year-old a new and improved contract.
Sensible stance
Martinez was superb for Villa last season and clearly made a big difference at the back.
It would make sense for the Villans to hand the former Arsenal goalkeeper a new contract and keep him at the club.
