Arsenal hope to keep Martin Odegaard, but they may need to eye up potential replacements.
The Real Madrid loanee is currently scheduled to return to Spain this summer, having joined Arsenal in January.
Odegaard has made a big impact, but Real want a huge fee for the Norwegian, which is why Arsenal now need to look at alternatives.
One popular name is Emiliano Buendia, and Arsenal looked into signing the Norwich City star during the January window.
Eurosport now claim that Arsenal are expected to make a big for Buendia this summer, even though the Canaries have clinched promotion back to the Premier League.
Buendia, 24, has been sensational in the Championship this season, racking up 13 goals and 15 assists in an outstanding campaign.

He has already shown his creative ability in the Premier League too, and Buendia has now admitted to Gianluca Di Marzio that he could have left Norwich last summer.
Buendia believes the global pandemic prevented him from changing clubs over the last year, and doesn’t know what will happen in the coming windows as Arsenal lurk.
“The pandemic maybe prevented me from changing club as we’ve been talking a lot during the past summer, but it means I’m doing things in the right way,” said Buendia. “I could have changed club but I wanted to bring Norwich back to the Premier League. I don’t know what will happen in the next year, I follow the whole European football but I’m very keen on the Premier League,” he added.
