Speaking on the Gaffer YouTube channel, Emile Smith Rowe has been waxing-lyrical about 19-year-old Arsenal starlet Bukayo Saka.
Smith Rowe and Saka have of course grown up together at Arsenal, and as you can imagine, they’re close friends.
Smith Rowe says that playing first-team football with Saka is the best feeling,
What’s been said?
Smith Rowe was asked about the pair’s rise through the ranks in north London together.
“Honestly, it’s the best feeling. Growing up together, I’ve known B since I was maybe 12 or 13? When I first joined he was slightly younger than me, so we didn’t train together that much, but because he was so good he used to play up, but honestly, I can’t explain the feeling of when we step onto the pitch together,” Smith Rowe said.

Not surprising
It’s not surprising at all to hear that Saka was playing in higher age groups as a young player.
There are few footballers in England with as much talent as the Arsenal 19-year-old, and even to this day he looks like a player who is wise beyond his years.
It’s scary to think about how good Saka could be once he hits his peak, and at the age of 19, his peak could still be years away.
Arsenal have one of the best young talents in the country on their hands in Saka, and they need to make sure they nurture his development in the correct way.
