Speaking in the latest edition of FourFourTwo magazine (May 2022, page 29), Emile Smith Rowe has been speaking about the chant Arsenal fans have created for himself and Bukayo Saka.

The two young stars are a pair of fan favourites at the Emirates these days, and, as you can imagine, the Arsenal fanbase have created a brilliant song to serenade the pair.

If you haven’t heard it by now, it’s to the tune of Status Quo’s ‘Rockin All Over The World’ and it’s absolutely brilliant.

Smith Rowe loves the song, and he says that everyone is always singing it in the changing room, stating that the singing is usually led by Aaron Ramsdale, with the goalkeeper also doubling-up as the Gunners’ resident DJ.

What’s been said?

Smith Rowe discussed his song and how Ramsdale has already become a ringleader in the dressing room.

“Everyone’s always singing it in the changing room! And for away games they’re always playing it on the coach. Aaron Ramsdale is the ringleader; he’s DJ and it’s the first song he puts on after a game. Who would have thought there’d be a song about us? It’s crazy. I’d never even heard it before,” Smith Rowe said.

Settled in

While the Saka and Smith Rowe chant is absolutely brilliant, the best thing about Smith Rowe’s comments here is just how comfortable Ramsdale is at Arsenal already.

The goalkeeper only joined in the summer, and heading to a massive club after back-to-back relegations will have been a daunting task.

However, he’s settled in brilliantly, he’s a star on the pitch and it sounds as though he’s already one of the biggest characters at the club behind the scenes too.

Ramsdale seems to be loving life at Arsenal, and it’s great to see.
