William Saliba has responded to Emile Smith Rowe’s post on Instagram after the Arsenal attacking midfielder signed a new contract with the Gunners.
What’s the story?
Arsenal announced on their official website yesterday that Smith Rowe has signed a new long-term deal with the Gunners.
There was reported interest from Aston Villa in the 20-year-old attacking midfielder.
However, the English youngster has decided to commit his long-term future to Arsenal.
William Saliba’s reaction
Arsenal-owned central defender Saliba has responded to Smith Rowe’s post on Instagram, as shown below.
The 20-year-old French defender has joined Marseille on loan from the Gunners this summer.
Saliba trained with Smith Rowe at Arsenal, and he is pleased to see the youngster get a new deal.

Very heartening
It is very heartening to see Saliba congratulate Smith Rowe on his new deal.
It must be disappointing for the defender not to be able to show Arsenal fans what he is capable of despite costing £27 million in transfer fees, as reported by The Guardian.
However, it is really encouraging to see Saliba so happy for a fellow young player who appears to have a bright future at Arsenal.
