Emile Heskey calls Roberto Firmino a Liverpool legend
The 31-year-old has been an incredible servant for the Merseyside-club over the years, unselfishly devoting himself as part of one of the greatest front three’s the Premier League has ever seen, alongside Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
On the No Tippy Tappy Football Podcast with Sam Allardyce, Emile Heskey championed Roberto Firmino, acknowledging that he is indeed a Liverpool legend.
“Yeah [Roberto Firmino is a Liverpool legend], he’s fantastic. When he came in, no one really knew what we were getting. Then once he endeared himself to the fans and the way that he plays, it helped the others, [Sadio] Mane and [Mohamed] Salah a lot because he was dropping in deep, he was the one working in those little spaces, he would drag people a lot for them to make runs.”

“And the nice touches, I used to like the nice touches he used to have.”
Roberto Firmino is one of the club’s best-ever players in the Premier League era
While some might perceive that as a spicy opinion, Roberto Firmino, who leaves Liverpool as a legend, as per not just Emile Heskey but football fans as a whole has also been one of the club’s finest players in the last 31 years.
The technically gifted forward matched all the aesthetics and hard draft he brought to the side while also being a part of the side’s golden era since the start of the Premier League.
