The RB Leipzig man would be an excellent addition to the Everton squad this summer.

The Toffees are still in the market for further reinforcements this summer, with Ronald Koeman desperate to add to his already strong group of players, in an attempt to guide them into contention for a place inside the Champions League spots.

The Dutchman has added quality to his attacking department during the off-season, but with Yannick Bolasie still recovering form a long-term injury, Kevin Mirallas on the verge of turning 30 and Ross Barkley and Aaron Lennon’s future at Goodison Park still in doubt, the addition of another creative, attack-minded player will surely feature highly on Everton’s agenda.

And with this in mind, the Blues should consider a move for RB Leipzig ace Emil Forsberg, who enjoyed a sensational campaign in the Bundesliga last term, scoring eight goals and chipping in with 19 assists in 30 league outings.

The Swede is valued at around £45 million, according to the Sun, and whilst that seems like a lot of money for someone unproven in the English game on the face of it, in today’s ludicrously inflated transfer market, it actually represents fantastic value.

The 25-year-old can play anywhere along the front-line, which would be ideal for the Toffees, and would enable Koeman to play with more in-game tactical flexibility.

Forsberg has plenty of experience in playing at the highest level, and the direct manner in which he plays the game would surely help Everton improve upon the potency of their attacking play.

And Koeman should not hesitate in trying to wrap up a deal for the Sweden international as soon as possible.
