Liverpool should consider a summer swoop for the RB Leipzig winger.

Jurgen Klopp, Manager of Liverpool looks on during a training session on April 9, 2018 in Liverpool, England.

Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp seems to be intent of bringing the glory days back to Anfield, and has already been heavily active in the summer transfer market, spending close to £100 million on midfield dup Fabinho and Naby Keita.

The German still wants to add another attacker to his ranks, however, having still not found a long-term replacement for the recently departed Philippe Coutinho.

A £53 million move for Lyon’s Nabil Fekir failed to materialise last week, whilst the Reds have been linked with an £87 million swoop for Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele, according to Spanish media outlet Don Balon.

Whether Liverpool can stretch to that amount of money, though, is debatable, given the fact that they also need to spend big on a goalkeeper.

With this in mind, they might have to look elsewhere, and a fantastic option for them could be RB Leipzig winger Emil Forsberg, who could be available for around £20 million, according to the Mirror.

The 26-year-old Sweden international is a left winger by trade, and would provide fantastic competition for Sadio Mane – something that the Reds currently lack.

He has proven to be a real top quality performer since joining Leipzig from Malmo in January 2015, and has chalked up an impressive 21 goals and 37 assists in 112 appearances in all competitions.

Forsberg is quick off the mark, and is an incredibly hard worker – two attributes that make him ideally suited to Klopp’s high-octane setup at Anfield.

He would be an ideal addition to the Liverpool squad this summer, and for just £20 million, the Reds can’t afford to miss out on signing the Swede.
