Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to Christopher Nkunku working his magic in the Champions League once more.
The 24-year-old helped RB Leipzig record a 2-2 draw against PSG in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Nkunku opened the scoring against the Ligue 1 side to take his tally to five goals in four matches in Europe this season.
Therefore, it’s understandable that Arsenal fans are left wondering what could have been if they had signed him when Unai Emery was in charge of their club.
As reported by L’Equipe in 2019, prior to Nkunku leaving PSG for Leipzig there was interest from the Gunners and then-boss Emery.
Instead, he opted to swap France for Germany and he hasn’t looked back since.
But Arsenal fans will be pleased to hear that the all-action attacker’s name has been linked with their club again.
Italian outlet Calciomercato report that Arsenal have re-ignited their interest in the forward who moves like a tracer-bullet and is currently finishing off chances like he has a Playstation controller in hand.
In all competitions this season, Nkunku has scored ten goals in 16 matches and supplied five assists along the way.
That includes netting a hat-trick at Manchester City in September.
There’s no doubt that his stock is rising and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him making a big-money move during one of these next two transfer windows.
