Arsenal fans have been left disappointed after Lucas Torreira once again failed to make in to Diego Simeone’s starting line-up for Atletico Madrid last night.
Arsenal sent Torreira on loan to Atleti at the start of the season, but he has barely made any sort of impact in Spain.
And after seeing the £26 million man (BBC Sport) miss out on another starting line-up against Chelsea, Gunners supporters were left disappointed.
Torreira’s loan move has been fairly disastrous for both club and player.
Arsenal would have been hoping for Torriera to be handed more chances to feature, to raise his value.
The central midfielder would also have been looking to prove his worth, given his time on the sidelines at the Emirates Stadium, but he has been unable to do that.
Torreira did at least come on to the pitch last night as a late substitute, but he was unable to stop Atleti from falling to a 1-0 defeat.
