Aston Villa appear to be in the race to sign Arsenal target Gabri Veiga from Spanish side Celta Vigo this summer.
Villa are in great form right now and beat Leicester City 2-1 on Tuesday night.
That’s five wins and just two points dropped in the last six games with Villa racking up the points.
Villa now sit seventh in the Premier League table, only four points behind fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
It may be a big ask to push for the Champions League spots but Europa League qualification is now a vey real dream for Villa.
If Villa can sneak into the Europa League then Unai Emery would surely be backed heavily this summer – and he has an interesting target in mind.

Aston Villa in the race for Gabri Veiga
The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that Aston Villa are one of the clubs who want to sign Celta Vigo star Gabri Veiga.
Manchester City, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Tottenham and Liverpool are also mentioned in what looks like a fascinating transfer race.
Veiga has been a sensation in La Liga this season, bagging nine goals and four assists in just 26 appearances.
The 20-year-old looks set to make a huge move this summer and Villa seemingly have hope of luring him to work with Unai Emery.
The Villa boss will surely be aware of Veiga’s quality having exploded onto the scene in Spain this season.
The problem for Villa and Emery is that Veiga seems to have his heart set on joining Arsenal this summer.
Faro de Vigo reported last week that Veiga has Emery’s former club Arsenal as his top transfer choice this summer.
That report suggests that Veiga loves the use of young players at Arsenal as well as the prospect of living in London.
Emery would no doubt love to get one over on his former club and lure Veiga to Villa.
Yet with Arsenal seemingly above all in Veiga’s heart, Villa could face disappointment in this transfer race.
