Rangers could only muster a 1-1 home draw with Motherwell on Saturday afternoon.
Rangers’ Emerson Hyndman in action with Celtic’s Scott Brown
Rangers midfielder Emerson Hyndman has taken to Twitter to react to the 1-1 home draw with Motherwell on Saturday afternoon.
The Gers were back in action following the international break, and having beaten Hamilton 4-0 in Pedro Caixinha’s first game in charge, fans were optimistic about the latest game under the Portuguese boss.
However, Rangers were stunned when Louis Moult put the visitors in front after just three minutes, with the Motherwell striker bagging his 15th goal of the season.
Manager Caixinha stunned many by making three substitutions at half time, with Lee Hodson, Clint Hill and Lee Wallace being replaced by Andy Halliday, Michael O’Halloran and Joe Garner.
Whilst it was a bold move from Caixinha, it did see Garner grab the equaliser on 61 minutes, but Rangers couldn’t find a winning goal as they were left frustrated in a 1-1 draw at Ibrox.
The result, coupled with Aberdeen’s 7-0 thrashing of Dundee on Friday evening, means that Rangers are now a whopping ten points behind the Dons in the race for second place in the Scottish Premiership.

Earlier today, midfielder Emerson Hyndman took to Twitter to send a message to fans after the draw, with the American seeming somewhat downbeat.
Hyndman admitted that it was ‘one of those games’ for Rangers, accompanying his message with a picture of him slamming the turf – but he looked ahead to facing Kilmarnock on Wednesday night.
