Bournemouth midfielder Emerson Hyndman has sent a message to Rangers fans after his Ibrox loan spell was cut short because of injury.
Hyndman, who scored four goals and made another two in 17 Gers outings, suffered a foot problem last month’s Old Firm defeat against Celtic and missed Saturday’s win against Partick Thistle.
And the United States international will not recover in time for Rangers’ final three games against Hearts, Aberdeen and St Johnstone.
He posted the following message on Twitter, after the news of his premature departure surfaced on Tuesday afternoon:
Such was the impression made by Hyndman at Ibrox, the 21-year-old was tweeted in numbers by the Rangers faithful, who are urging him to return next season.
Their calls are likely to fall on deaf ears, however, after Bournemouth boss suggested to the Daily Echo last week that Hyndman – who only moved to Dean Court from Fulham in last summer’s transfer window – will feature in his plans for next term.

Rangers fans were dealt another blow on Tuesday, after the club confirmed the sale of 15-year-old prospect Billy Gilmour to English champions-elect, Chelsea.
