West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to react after the Mirror published an article about Declan Rice after the 1-0 defeat to Manchester United.
The article – which was posted on the Mirror‘s Twitter account – seemed to criticise West Ham for being too negative at Old Trafford.
Strangely, the focus of the article is about Rice, and how he surely cannot feel his future lies with a West Ham side playing so negatively.
Admittedly, the Hammers were negative against the Red Devils, but they certainly can’t be described as a defeatist side in general.
West Ham have scored 42 goals in 28 Premier League games this season, and currently sit fifth in England’s top-flight.

How anyone can call a side sitting three points off the Champions League – with a game in hand – negative is beyond us.
After all, West Ham were favourites for relegation at the start of the season, so David Moyes has worked wonders to get his side where they are.
If he has to be negative at times to keep them challenging for the Champions League, then so be it.

However, the Scot hasn’t even been pessimistic in his approach this term, so we feel the Mirror‘s article is slightly reactionary.
They’re seemingly taking his approach from one game, and making a bold, sweeping statement – one that has, understandably, angered some West Ham fans.
Let’s see what they’ve been saying on Twitter…
