Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have not exactly been impressed with Jose Mourinho’s decision to congratulate Dinamo Zagreb’s players after their win last night.
Mourinho said that he hadn’t spoken to Spurs’ players following their humiliating exit from the Europa League yesterday.
However, the Portuguese boss did have time to enter the Dinamo dressing room and congratulate their squad.
What would normally be seen as a classy gesture has just caused more animosity towards him from Spurs fans though.
They feel that Mourinho was concentrating too much on receiving positive press attention and not showing enough of a winning mentality.
It is difficult to see how Mourinho is able to survive with his job now.
Spurs have been abject too many times this season and last night’s display was nothing short of woeful.
The defeat surely ranks as one of Tottenham’s most embarrassing nights on the European stage, and Mourinho is now facing loud calls for him to leave from supporters.
