Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club’s TikTok account posted a video mocking Tottenham’s Serge Aurier.

Leeds posted footage from their 3-1 win over Spurs on the popular social media platform, where they made fun of Aurier’s playacting at Elland Road.

The footage in question shows the £23 million man running into Mateusz Klich’s shoulder, before dramatically falling to the ground.

Leeds even pause the video just as contact is made. We can see Aurier take a look at Klich, before deciding to scream and hit the deck.

The footage really doesn’t reflect well on Tottenham’s No.24.

It was a pathetic attempt to con the referee, and Leeds have rightly mocked him for doing it.

It’s this sort of thing that makes modern football tough to watch sometimes.

Referees are under enough pressure to make decisions as it is, so they don’t need dramatic players like Aurier to make a mountain out of a molehill.

He may only have been trying to win a freekick rather than a penalty, but it is still blatant cheating nonetheless.

If we’re going to stamp this out of the game, then VAR needs to look at footage like the clip Leeds posted and at least dish out a yellow card.

Failing that, perhaps we could bring in a sin-bin system for players found guilty of diving or clearly feigning injury.

Something has to happen, because we’re getting tired of seeing referees blow their whistles every five seconds for soft moments such as this one.

Let’s see what the Leeds fans on Twitter have been saying about the club mocking Aurier on TikTok…
