Everton fans have taken to Twitter in disgust after seeing what Seamus Coleman did in the 68th minute against Wolves last night.

What’s the story?

Well, Everton failed to make amends for their embarrassing 5-2 defeat to Watford at Molineux yesterday, as they suffered another loss.

The Toffees found themselves 2-0 down at half-time after a miserable 45 minutes, in which Wolves could have been 3-0 up, only for VAR to step in.

You couldn’t really say any Everton player performed well, although Coleman in particular has been receiving criticism after the 68th minute moment.

With Wolves on the attack down Coleman’s flank, the 33-year-old can be seen walking back with his arms outstretched in complaint.

Michael Keane then has to come out wide to cover, before he embarrasses himself by letting Hwang Hee-chan drift past him with ease.

Somehow, Francisco Trincao then missed the chance to put Wolves 3-0 up.

Everton must replace Seamus Coleman

While he didn’t cover himself in much glory last night, Coleman arguably shouldn’t even be Everton’s first choice right-back anymore.

The 61-cap Republic of Ireland international is now 33, and clearly isn’t the player he once was.

Marcel Brands, in all his years as Director of Football, should’ve signed a right-back ages ago to oust Coleman from the starting XI.

However, Rafa Benitez only has Jonjoe Kenny as backup, an Academy graduate who spent last season on loan at Celtic.

If the next big-money signing isn’t a right-back to replace the £70,000-a-week man, questions have to be asked at Goodison Park.

For now, let’s see what the Everton fans on Twitter have been saying about the embarrassing 68th minute moment…
