Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to react after adidas released the club’s home shirt ahead of the 2021/22 season.
What’s the story?
Well, it’s hardly the most original strip in Celtic’s history.
As one fan pointed out below, the shirt looks identical to New Balance’s effort in the 2015/16 campaign.
All that’s different is the fact an adidas logo resides where a New Balance one once was, and there’s also no collar this time.
In truth, it’s a smart design, but a bit of an underwhelming effort.
Some fans have also taken exception to the marketing language used by adidas.
Phrases like ‘Future Is Our Focus’ was mocked by some fans, who questioned if the present isn’t also a focus for the Bhoys right now.
Also seen in the club’s tweet were phrases such as ‘Unbroken Hoops’ and ‘Unbroken History’ – whatever that’s supposed to mean.
Forget the kit, signings are needed

Celtic are just a week away from the first leg of their Champions League qualifier against FC Midtjylland.
As of now, Ange Postecoglou has only signed two players in Liam Shaw and Osaze Urhoghide.
The duo – both signed from Sheffield Wednesday – look to be exciting additions, but so much more is needed in Paradise.

Postecoglou also needs to move Odsonne Edouard, Kristoffer Ajer and Ryan Christie on before it’s too late.
The general feeling is that the trio will leave this summer, so why not get it over with and have time to invest money generated by their exits properly?
For now, let’s see how the Celtic fans on Twitter reacted to the new home shirt…
