Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to react after Jamie Carragher analysed the breakdown in communication before Wolves scored on Saturday.

The Sky Sports pundit brilliantly describes how a lack of organisation led to Ruben Neves heading in the equaliser at St James’ Park in the 1-1 draw.

Carragher details how Matt Ritchie failed to tell Jacob Murphy that he was moving to right wing-back, and only delivered half of Steve Bruce’s message.

Isaac Hayden moved to centre-back after talking to Ritchie, but he is too focused on Adama Traore – the Spaniard was Murphy’s man, but having not received the message, he was still out on the left wing.

Eventually, Wolves break forward and a cross comes in towards Neves.

Hayden, who would most likely meet the ball if he didn’t have one eye on Traore, is caught in two minds before the Wolves No.8 sneaks in and heads home.

After the goal, Carragher shows Ritchie finally talking to Murphy, where the £12 million man then trudges over to right wing-back having now received Bruce’s instructions.

It was a total shambles, and one that arguably cost Newcastle all three points against Nuno Espirito Santo’s men.

Let’s see what the Newcastle fans on Twitter have been saying about the breakdown in communication…
