Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has criticised Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah on talkSPORT for the penalty incident against West Ham United at the weekend.
In the closing stages of the first half in the Premier League game between Liverpool and West Ham at Anfield this past Saturday, Salah was adjudged to have been brought down by Arthur Masuaku.
It was a controversial decision from the referee to award the Egypt international forward the spot kick, as he seemed to go down quite easily.
Former Palace owner Jordan has slammed Salah, who has been on the books of Liverpool since the summer of 2017 when he joined from AS Roma for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £34 million.
Ex-Liverpool striker Peter Crouch has also given his take on the penalty incident involving Salah and Masuaku.
Jordan told talkSPORT: “Salah’s reaction was embarrassing, his amplification of it was pathetic.”
Crouch wrote in The Daily Mail: “I do not think he dived but Salah made sure that Kevin Friend, the referee, knew there had been contact from Arthur Masuaku – and if there is contact then it is a penalty.
“You might not like the fact Salah went to ground or the fact he made the most of the challenge but the fact is, it was a foul.”

Moving on
While West Ham fans will still feel aggrieved about the penalty incident, there is nothing that they can do now.
The Hammers should take encouragement from the fact that they pushed Liverpool hard, while the defending English champions will be pleased that they got the job done and picked up all three points from the encounter courtesy of a 2-1 win.
