Don Hutchison has laid into Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin.
The Spain international has been making headlines for the wrong reasons as of late.
In last Sunday’s North London derby defeat by Tottenham Hotspur, the Arsenal defender was penalised for a foul throw – and not for the first time this season.
In fact, it’s the fifth time since the 2020-21 campaign began that Bellerin – who earns £110,000 per week – has conceded a foul in this regard.
Arteta claimed on Wednesday that Arsenal have sent images to the Premier League, contesting the latest decision in what is surely a futile gesture at this point.
But one man who isn’t happy with Bellerin is former Liverpool and Everton star Hutchison, who claimed on Twitter that the player should be docked two weeks wages.
It’s a pretty trivial matter, but one that doesn’t help Arsenal’s current image one bit.
Arteta’s side are 15th in the Premier League table after scoring only 10 goals in their first 11 games this season.
Simply put, the Emirates Stadium outfit are a bit of a laughing stock right now and boasting the highest amount of foul throws doesn’t really help their cause.
