Celtic winger Patrick Roberts did not make England under-21’s latest squad.

Chris Sutton has claimed that it is embarrassing that England do not pick Celtic winger Patrick Roberts for their under-21 side.
England have ignored the in-form talents in the Celtic squad in their recent squad selections, to continue to select players from the Premier League.

Sutton has advocated Scott Sinclair getting back into the full England squad, with the rapid attacker in fine form for Celtic.
And the former Bhoys striker finds it even more baffling that Roberts is not being considered for England’s under-21 side.
Roberts has been in wonderful form for Celtic ever since moving north of the border in January 2016.
The Manchester City loanee has looked a real threat to defences, and has even proven himself in the Champions League.
Roberts scored in Celtic’s last European match, as they beat Anderlecht 3-0 in an impressive triumph in Belgium.
Roberts did turn down the chance to go to the England under-20 World Cup to stay with Celtic last season, and there is a feeling that he is being punished for that decision.
