Montpellier forward Elye Wahi has reportedly switched agents amid recent transfer interest from the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham, who have both been linked with the French wonderkid.

According to Foot Mercato, the 20-year-old attacker has joined DW Sports, a sports agency company currently representing some of the most exciting names in French football, such as Arnaud Kalimuendo, Aster Vranckx and Montpellier teammate Maxime Esteve.

Wahi’s stock has risen considerably this season with the forward bagging eight goals in Ligue 1 in what is turning out be a breakout year for the former Caen academy star. And now, Premier League clubs are interested in signing the striker, namely Arsenal and Tottenham.

Foot Mercato have recently reported that the two north London clubs have scouted the £25m-rated attacker in recent weeks, and with Wahi now switching agents, there’s a potential opportunity in the summer for a transfer to be done between Arsenal or Tottenham.

Only the second player in the last 40 years to score 20 Ligue 1 goals behind a certain Kylian Mbappe, Wahi has primed himself to become a star for the future in the years to come, and the forward changing his agents is usually a telling sign that a player is angling for a move in the upcoming window.

Indeed, with Montpellier in a position where they could benefit from a major sale, Wahi could be an ideal player to offload given how much his value has risen in recent months, and the forward switching agents is a sign that Arsenal or Tottenham could have an easier time at signing the youngster in the summer.

Few young players in Europe are in as good as form as Wahi this season, and with the wonderkid changing agents this week, Arsenal and Tottenham must now be on high alert that a deal can be done in the summer for the Montpellier superstar in the making.

With a current asking price of £25m as per Foot Mercato, the north London sides could soon battle it out to bring the forward to England, and Wahi himself could be very keen on the idea of switching France for the Premier League in the summer.
