Celtic are the dominant force in Scottish football, and one of their best players is Matt O’Riley.
Matt O’Riley has been superb for Celtic since his move from Milton Keynes Dons in 2022.
Matt O’Riley a star for Celtic
O’Riley created chances and provided assists last season, and this campaign, he has become a goal threat.
The 22-year-old scored three goals and gave 12 assists in 32 Scottish Premiership starts for Celtic last season.
So far this campaign, the Denmark Under-21 international midfielder has scored six goals and given two assists in nine Scottish Premiership matches.
One of those games came against Heart of Midlothian this past weekend.
Celtic beat Hearts 4-1 away from home in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.
Praise for Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley
O’Riley opened the scoring for Brendan Rodgers’s side in the fourth minute.
The young midfielder found the back of the net with a superb finish, and former Manchester City winger and Celtic fan Trevor Sinclair was impressed, as you can see below.
Coming in from the left, Luis Palma dinked the ball over the top of the Hearts defence.
O’Riley let it drop over his shoulder and then volleyed it home.
It was a goal of the highest order.

Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 25 points from nine matches.
The Hoops are seven points clear of second-placed and Old Firm rivals Rangers.
Celtic are the clear favourites to win the league title yet again this season.
I believe that Matt O’Riley will play a big role in that quest.
The midfielder is a regular in the team, and he is going from strength to strength.
Leeds United tried to sign O’Riley in the summer transfer window, and Celtic’s decision to turn them down is proving to be a great one.
