Some Tottenham Hotspur fans are over the moon after it was reported that Antonio Conte is keen to bring Brazilian centre-back Gleison Bremer to north London.
Bremer is a player who has long been coveted by clubs in the Premier League, Liverpool were credited with an interest in him not too long ago, while it was also thought that Fulham wanted him last summer.
It’s not hard to see why Spurs are keen on the defender. Bremer’s statistical profile is nothing short of outstanding. He’s making 3.8 interceptions per game this season and winning 3.9 aerial duels per match.
If Antonio Conte is looking to implement his patented 3-4-3 formation at Spurs, then he’ll need strong centre-halves and Bremer would certainly fit that mould.
Bremer is bound to be a player Conte knows well. After all, he’s been playing in Serie A for a few years now, and if Conte rates you, you have to be a decent footballer.
