Pawel Cibicki left Leeds United on loan for a second time during the January transfer window.

Club director Stefan Andreasson has confirmed to Fotboll Skanalen that Elfsborg hope to hold discussions with Leeds about keeping Pawel Cibicki beyond his loan spell this summer.
Cibicki left Elland Road for a second time this season when the Swedish side took him on loan in January. He had spent the first-half of the campaign with Molde, and it surprised few when the Whites allowed him to leave again in the winter window.
He has enjoyed a decent spell with Elfsborg, scoring four goals in 10 league appearances. Their next highest goalscorers have found the back of the net twice so far.
And with Cibicki’s loan deal expiring in July – presumably, around the same time that Leeds’ squad will start pre-season – Andreasson suggested that the club hope to discuss a fresh deal with his parent club.

“There were three parties who found a good solution last time and we will see if there is a possibility once again,” he told Fotboll Skanalen.
“It is clear that we would like to see Pawel remain in Elfsborg but we are happy that we found the solution we have now. Anything else is not relevant right now. We have respect for Leeds and what has happened in their season end and will certainly have discussions now.”

With questions still lingering over whether Marcelo Bielsa will be staying at Elland Road, it appears to be too soon to completely write off Cibicki getting another chance at Elland Road, especially with Leeds gearing up for another season in the Championship.
It appears very unlikely, and Bielsa staying would surely open the door for Elfsborg to strike the deal that they are looking for. But there were a couple of tiny glimpses of quality during his first year at Leeds, and he has made a very good start to the Swedish season, so it may be a little premature to assume that agreeing another move to Elfsborg will be straightforward.
