Eintracht Frankfurt are reportedly confident that Liverpool will fail in their attempts to appoint Markus Krosche, who has been linked with a move to Anfield over the weekend.
According to Bild. the Bundesliga side are sold on the idea that their transfer chief will turn down a move to Liverpool to stay with Frankfurt, with The Athletic recently reporting that the Premier League giants are interested in appointing Krosche to replace Julian Ward.
The Anfield sporting director is set to leave the club just one into the role, meaning Liverpool have an important off-the-field role to fill in the coming months, with Krosche the current favourite to be appointed by the Reds to become the side’s new transfer chief.
However, Frankfurt are confident that Krosche will stay in Germany, with the UEFA Champions League side viewing the official as ‘an important figure within the club’ and someone who is sold on the long-term vision of the Bundesliga side.

Krosche has been key to Frankfurt’s success in recent seasons that has seen the German club win the UEFA Europa League, the DFB Pokal and now make it to the last 16 of the Champions League, and it is no surprise that Liverpool now want to appoint the 42-year-old.
Indeed, whilst Frankfurt are confident they can keep hold of Krosche, there’s a strong chance that Liverpool will end up with who they want in the former RB Leipzig sporting director, who could be perfect to work alongside Jurgen Klopp ahead of the summer window.
Liverpool must do all they can to appoint Krosche in the coming months

A good argument can be made that Liverpool haven’t been the same since Michael Edwards left the club last season, and Ward already set to leave the club, the Reds have to get their next sporting director hire as spot on as possible, and Krosche could be the man for the job.
The German transfer official has done an excellent job with Frankfurt, and a move to Liverpool would fee like a natural next step for Krosche, who is more than ready to take over a Premier League side in need of a transfer expert to get them back on top.
