Tottenham Hotspur have plenty of valuable assets who could be moved on at the end of the season.
Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has a lot of work to do this summer, if he is to build a squad who are capable of going all the way and winning major honours both domestically and on the continent.
The problem for the Argentine is that he will probably not be given lavish funds in order to bolster his ranks sufficiently.
Pochettino may instead have to sell before he can buy, and with that in mind, here are seven Spurs players who could realistically be let go this summer…
1. Michel Vorm:
Probably the most obvious name on the list. The Dutchman’s contract expires in the summer, and with Hugo Lloris still going strong, as well as Paulo Gazzaniga proving to be an able deputy, the 35-year-old will surely not be offered a new deal.

2. Toby Alderweireld:
The Belgian’s current contract expires in the summer of 2020, but he will be available for just £25 million at the end of the season, according to Sky Sports, due to a release clause inserted into his current contract with Tottenham.
The north London outfit would surely want to keep hold of the 29-year-old, but they will be powerless to prevent him from leaving, if said release clause is met.

3. Serge Aurier:
The Ivory Coast international could leave Spurs, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
Aurier has been far from impressive since joining Tottenham in the summer of 2017, and there probably wouldn’t be too many sad faces at the club if he left.

4. Kieran Trippier:
The England international has struggled in recent weeks, and with the emergence of Kyle Walker-Peters, Pochettino would surely consider selling either the 28-year-old or Aurier (as mentioned above).

5. Danny Rose:
The 28-year-old has persistently been linked with an exit from Tottenham, with the Sun claiming that he could be allowed to leave for £40 million.
Rose is still a top-class performer but Pochettino seems to favour Ben Davies at left-back, and if the Lilywhites receive a bid in the region of the reported £40 million, they will surely find it hard to resit.

6. Christian Eriksen:
Tottenham fans obviously wouldn’t want to see the Dane leave, but with his contract expiring in the summer of 2020, Pochettino’s hand might just be forced this summer.
The Guardian suggest that £100 million could be enough to lure the 27-year-old away from Spurs, and despite his popularity and importance to the club, that would surely have to be considered as decent business.

7. Victor Wanyama:
The Kenyan could be allowed to leave this summer, according to the Daily Mail, and considering his injury problems, combined with sporadic form, he surely wouldn’t be missed at Tottenham.

8. Fernando Llorente:
The Spaniard has done well during Harry Kane’s recent absence, but it would be no surprise to see Spurs move him on this summer, especially considering the fact that his contact is due to expire at the end of the season.
