Florian Lejeune has joined Newcastle United from Eibar in the summer transfer window.
Eibar have sent a message to Newcastle United on social networking site Twitter regarding Florian Lejeune.
Newcastle have signed Lejeune from Spanish club Eibar for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £8.7 million.
The 26-year-old has put pen to paper on a five-year contract at the Magpies, who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
Eibar have sent a message to Newcastle on Twitter stating that Lejeune is a great player and an even greater person.

Lejeune played well for Eibar last season, which is why he was on the radar of Newcastle in the first place.
The former France Under-20 international scored one goal and provided one assist in 34 La Liga appearances for Eibar last season, according to WhoScored.
The defender made 1.3 tackles per game and 2.1 interceptions per match in La Liga during the 2016-17 campaign, according to WhoScored.
