Efe Ambrose shares what new Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has told him about his game.

Celtic defender Efe Ambrose has revealed to The Glasgow Evening Times what new manager Brendan Rodgers has told him about his game.
Ambrose has been on the books of Celtic since 2012 and is a senior member of the current squad.
The Nigeria international defender can play as a centre-back or as a right-back. The 27-year-old is a decent player, but he is prone to making mistakes which often prove costly.
Ambrose lacks consistency in his game, and many Celtic fans will claim that he cannot be trusted to play in defence in big and key games.

The former Kaduna United and Ashdod defender has revealed the discussion he has had with new Celtic manager Rodgers about his game.
“The manager has told me to keep it simple,” Rodgers told The Glasgow Evening Times. “He told me that I have everything he needs and he sees what I can bring to the team.
“All he has said it to play simple, don’t force it. As a defender you have to focus, stay compact and he has brought that into training; the way he wants to play.”

Ambrose has been linked with a move away from Celtic in the summer transfer window.
According to a report in The Glasgow Evening Times earlier this month, Bayer Leverkusen are interested in signing Ambrose from Celtic this summer.
It was reported that the Nigeria international defender is high on the German club’s transfer list.
It was also claimed that Bayer, who finished third in the Bundesliga last season and will feature in the Champions League during the 2016-17 campaign, could make a bid of £1.5 million to secure the services of the 27-year-old.
