Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club announced that Kamil Grabara had been sold to FC Copenhagen for £3 million.

What’s the story?

Well, after five years at Anfield, the 22-year-old has now departed for good.

Grabara arrived from Ruch II Chorzów in 2016, and has spent time on loan at Huddersfield and Danish outfit Aarhus Gymnastikforening.

The shot-stopper clearly impressed in Denmark last season, as one of the country’s biggest clubs in FC Copenhagen have now taken him on.

Sadly, Grabara never made a first-team appearance for Liverpool.

However, with the likes of Alisson ahead of him, that comes as no surprise.

The Polish glovesman did, however, make 34 appearances for the Under-23 side, and nine appearances in the Under-18 setup.

Michael Edwards has, once again, done superbly

As is often the case with Liverpool’s Sporting Director Michael Edwards, he has pulled off a brilliant bit of business here.

Back in 2016, Liverpool beat Manchester United and Manchester City to the signing of Grabara for just £250,000.

Despite never making a first-team appearance for them, Liverpool have now earned £2.75 million after selling the goalkeeping prodigy.

How Edwards has managed to get £3 million for Grabara – who was earning £5,000-a-week at Anfield – is a mystery.

The 19-cap Poland Under-21 international himself must surely be baffled at his own transfer fee.

He has been sold for just £500,000 less than the £3.5 million Liverpool paid for Joe Gomez back in 2015.

Grabara has also departed for just £5 million less than the £8 million Liverpool paid Hull for Andy Robertson.

Another incoming to join Ibrahima Konate wouldn’t go amiss.

However, in terms of outgoings, it seems Edwards is up to his old tricks again.

Let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about the news…
