Some fans of rival clubs think Liverpool are about to give away a bargain by getting rid of Ovie Ejaria.
The London Evening Standard have reported how Liverpool are set to allow Ejaria to leave to join Reading for just £3.5 million.
The 22-year-old has made a big impact in the Championship over the past year, with his creative performances catching the eye.
And many supporters think that Liverpool are letting him go far too cheaply.
Reading were actually very smart, as they agreed the fee prior to Ejaria’s loan move to them last season.
Liverpool surely would have been in a position to ask for more for the attacking midfielder now, had they not put a clause in his loan deal, but they are now powerless in the negotiations.
If Ejaria does go on to perform to the same level, or even improve, over the coming year then there is no doubting he worth more than Liverpool are letting him go for.
The youngster may not quite by up to the standard of representing the Reds, but he still looks to have an extremely bright future.
Ejaria scored three goals and claimed five assists for Reading last term, as he became one of the Royals’ key players.
