It seems as though Liverpool are preparing for a clear-out this summer, but their fans aren’t convinced that something will be done.
Jurgen Klopp is ready to wield the axe on seven players, including academy product, Ben Woodburn, according to The Athletic.
The 21-year-old broke through the ranks at Liverpool as a teenager, but he hasn’t been able to live up to those pretty early and high expectations.
Liverpool fans feel, alongside other backup or injury-prone stars, the time is right for Woodburn to leave.
But some supporters have suggested that they have been hearing for a number of seasons now that players will be moved on, yet highly-rated, transfer guru, Michael Edwards, hasn’t made the strides in that department.
Whilst Liverpool are seemingly carrying a lot of deadwood, you still wouldn’t bet against Edwards working his magic this summer.
He has a track record of selling players for big sums even though on paper it might seem as though they haven’t done much.
Rhian Brewster is a case in point.
Nonetheless, Woodburn recently made the headlines after scoring a hat-trick in training, but it does seem as though his future lies elsewhere and fans are in agreement.
