Arsenal may already be looking towards the summer transfer window, and Edu has some decisions to make.

Mikel Arteta’s attack could look very different next season, with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah entering the final year of their deals.

Add in that Folarin Balogun can walk away this summer and Arsenal must be in the market for a new striker to bolster Arteta’s options.

It may not be flashy, but a target man could be a wise addition for Arsenal, especially given Arteta’s comments back in December.

Arteta suggested that he is keen to see Arsenal crossing the ball, but Lacazette, Nketiah and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang don’t really have the physical profile for that role.

Bringing in a classic centre forward could make some sense, and Edu should be looking to raid London rivals Chelsea for Tammy Abraham.

That’s a bold shout, yes, but Arsenal have been able to sign players from Chelsea in recent times – such as Petr Cech and David Luiz.

Arsenal sold Olivier Giroud to Chelsea in 2018, so an agreement being reached between the two rivals isn’t completely out of the question.

Reports broke earlier this week from The Telegraph, suggesting that Abraham is out of favour under Thomas Tuchel and hasn’t been spoken to about a new deal.

The 23-year-old may look to leave if he doesn’t get chances, and a move to Arsenal could be a dream for him; after all, he grew up supporting the Gunners.

Abraham has managed 12 goals in all competitions this season, and he can provide a different dimension to the Arsenal attack with his hold-up and link-up play, whilst he is a much bigger physical presence than Arsenal’s current strikers.

Yes, Arsenal would have to pay a premium to sign Abraham from a rival, but he has the potential to be a star in a bigger role – and Arsenal could offer him that with Lacazette and Nketiah potentially leaving the Gunners.
