Arsenal Sporting Director Edu has sent a message to Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison on Instagram for his heroics for Brazil against Serbia at the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar.
Richarlison, who joined Tottenham from Premier League rivals Everton in the summer of 2022, scored two goals for Brazil against Serbia in their opening Group G game on Thursday evening.
Brazil won the 2022 Qatar World Cup match 2-0.
The Tottenham forward found the back of the net first in the 62nd minute and then on 73 minutes.
Richarlison’s second goal was world class, as he found the back of the net with an acrobatic right-foot finish.
And Edu was impressed by his Brazilian compatriot, as you can see from his Instagram post below.
Edu played for Brazil and is now the Sporting Director at Arsenal.

Interestingly, Arsenal wanted to sign Richarlison from Everton before his move to Tottenham for an initial £50 million (Sky Sports).
The 25-year-old forward was quoted as saying by talkSPORT in September 2022 that “Arsenal also contacted Everton to ask about” his situation, adding that “Chelsea made an offer”.
Arsenal did sign another Brazil international forward in the summer of 2022.
The Gunners brought in Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.
Jesus is also part of the Brazil squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
