Some Arsenal fans on social media have been reacting after it was reported that they’ve rejected an offer from Galatasaray for Mohamed Elneny.
The transfer window may be closed in England, but in Turkey, players can still be bought, and Galatasaray reportedly want to bring Elneny to the club.
However, the Gunners aren’t willing to part ways with the Egyptian, at least not at the price Galatasaray were offering, and Arsenal fans aren’t best pleased with this news.
To be honest, we can see where supporters are coming from. Elneny isn’t a player who is likely to get first-team chances this year – especially after the signing of Albert Sambi Lokonga and the retention of Granit Xhaka and Ainsley Maitland-Niles, so cashing in on Elneny would make a lot of sense, especially as he’s entering the final year of his contract.
Of course, Galatasaray could come in with an improved offer as the deadline approaches, but right now it seems as though Elneny will be staying at the Emirates.
