Edu has responded to Pablo Mari‘s post on Instagram following the Arsenal loanee’s ordeal on Thursday.
During the Gunners’ defeat to PSV Eindhoven in the Europa League last night, reports from Italy revealed that the Spanish defender – on loan at Monza – had been among those stabbed in a shopping centre in Milan.
It was quickly revealed by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta that the 29-year-old was in stable condition.
However, one person tragically lost their life in the incident.

Within the last hour, Mari thanked everybody for their well wishes and here’s how Edu, Arsenal’s technical director who signed him, responded to the former Flamengo powerhouse on Instagram.
He wrote: “Dear friend …. My family and I are sending our best thoughts for a speedy recovery.”
According to BBC, there were six victims including one fatality – a 30-year-old supermarket cashier – from the mass stabbing incident.
Originally it was reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport that Mari was ‘seriously’ wounded but the defender, who joined Arsenal in 2020, looks set to make a full recovery in time.
Mari joined Arsenal during the winter of 2020 on loan from Flamengo and ultimately signed for Arteta’s side on a permanent basis six months later.
This is his second loan spell in Italy after spending the second half of the 2021-22 campaign at Udinese.
He has made eight Serie A outings for Monza this season.
