Edu is also hopeful that Arsenal central defender William Saliba and midfielder Bukayo Saka will sign new contacts by January, according to the report.

In our view, a new contract for Gabriel Martinelli would make sense for Arsenal.
The 21-year-old Brazil international forward has established himself as an important player for the Gunners and is now one of the first names on the teamsheet when he is fit and available.
Martinelli is quick, has tricks and skills, can run at defenders, and is able to connect well with his Arsenal teammates.
The forward – described as “phenomenal” by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta in Goal earlier this month – can also score goals and create chances.
The 21-year-old has scored three goals in six Premier League appearances for Arsenal so far this season.
