Edu has received offers to leave Arsenal but chose to stay with the Gunners and continue their project with Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners are as buoyant as ever having beaten Liverpool 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
With eight wins and one defeat from nine games, Arsenal sit top of the Premier League table.
Many will expect Manchester City to overtake them eventually but for now, Arsenal fans are dreaming of a truly incredible season and who can blame them?

Edu has received offers to leave Arsenal
Much of the focus is on Mikel Arteta and some of his star players like Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka and William Saliba.
Yet if you look a little higher up the Arsenal project, technical director Edu may well deserve just as much praise.
The Brazilian has previously come in for criticism, especially after deals for the likes of Willian and even David Luiz.
Edu is now deserving of praise though having won over Arsenal fans and ultimately helped strike deals for many in this team.
Edu was key to signing Gabriel Jesus this past summer and the likes of Aaron Ramsdale, Ben White, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Martin Odegaard have all signed on his watch.
An exciting, young team all developing together; this is what many fans dream of and Edu has put it together with Arsenal.
Intriguingly, The Athletic’s David Ornstein now claims that Edu has actually received interest from other clubs who want him to leave the Gunners.
Ornstein suggests that Edu has been given opportunities to leave the club but Arsenal are determined to keep everyone together both on and off the pitch.
“When you speak to people across the game, there has been interest in Edu from elsewhere,” said Ornstein. “He’s had opportunities but they are going to hope to keep this nucleus they’ve got together now, at executive level and player level,” he added.
It’s unclear just who wanted Edu but you can imagine that many other European clubs are keeping tabs on his work at the Emirates Stadium.
The hope will be that Edu’s emotional ties to Arsenal from his playing days will help convince him to stay in North London, with more interest no doubt on the horizon.
