Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both interested in signing Red Bull Salzburg striker Karim Konate ahead of the January transfer window.

Red Bull Salzburg forward Karim Konate is attracting interest from both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

That is according to a report from 90Min, who claim that Konate is a wanted man in North London.

Premier League clubs would be wise to keep tabs on Red Bull Salzburg given the amount of talent they manage to develop.

Erling Haaland, Dominik Szoboszlai, Karim Adeyemi, Sadio Mane, Dayot Upamecano, the list just seems to go on and on.

Another top talent is emerging with Karim Konate now wanted.

90Min claim that both Arsenal and Tottenham watched Konate in action for Red Bull Salzburg against WSG Tirol over the weekend.

Konate scored twice in a 2-0 Red Bull Salzburg win, justifying the trip to watch him in action.

The 19-year-old has now bagged 10 goals and six assists in 19 games this season, showing immense potential.

Arsenal and Tottenham are both in the market for attacking additions in 2024 and Konate is now emerging as a target.

Who is Arsenal and Tottenham target Konate?

Konate started out in the ASEC Mimosas ranks in his native Ivory Coast, the club where the likes of Kolo Toure, Yaya Toure, Gervinho and Didier Zokora emerged.

Red Bull Salzburg pounced in 2022 and sent him onto their partner club FC Liefering for first-team exposure.

That decision paid off as Konate smashed 15 goals in just 18 games before heading back to Salzburg.

Hailed as ‘exceptional’ by former Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund, Konate is being backed for a big future.

Konate admitted earlier this year that whilst Lyon are his favourite club, he is a big fan of Liverpool and Barcelona too.

Arsenal and Tottenham may well be hoping that Liverpool don’t get involved, as a move to Anfield may well appeal more to Konate.
