Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Odsonne Edouard for Crystal Palace against Nuno’s Tottenham Hotspur yesterday.

What’s the story?

Edouard was linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer transfer window, but the striker joined London and Premier League rivals Palace instead.

Sky Sports reported that the Eagles paid Celtic £14 million to secure the services of the 23-year-old striker on summer transfer deadline day.

The Times reported in June interest from Arsenal in signing the former Paris Saint-Germain striker.

Edouard made his debut for Palace against Tottenham yesterday.

The French striker came on as a substitute and scored twice on his debut for the Eagles.

Palace won the London derby 3-0.

What are Arsenal fans saying?

As you can see from the tweets below, Arsenal fans were impressed by Edouard.

Well, some of them anyway.

Some Arsenal fans were very impressed by the striker scoring twice on his debut, while others are asking why the Gunners did not pay Celtic £14 million to snap him up.

If the former Celtic striker goes on to score consistently in the Premier League this season, then perhaps Arsenal could revisit their interest in him next summer.
