Crystal Palace have made a bid of £15 million for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard, according to The Scottish Sun.

What’s the story?

The Scottish Sun have reported that Premier League club Palace are keen on signing Edouard before the summer transfer window closes on Tuesday.

The London club have made a bid of £15 million to Scottish Premiership giants Celtic for the 23-year-old French striker.

However, Palace are not the only club who are determined to sign Edouard this summer.

The Scottish Sun have reported that Russian Premier League side Rubin Kazan have bid over £15 million, with Bordeaux and Nice also interested.

What should Celtic do?

Edouard is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership and was described as “world class” by his Celtic teammate David Turnbull in The Daily Record in February 2021.

It would be better for Celtic to keep the striker, especially during a season when they are trying to reclaim the Scottish Premiership title from Rangers.

However, the 23-year-old is out of contract at the Hoops next summer.

If Celtic sell Edouard now, then it will be a financial decision.

The former Paris Saint-Germain striker has scored two goals and given one assist in three Scottish Premiership games already this season.

The youngster scored 16 goals and gave three assists in 23 league starts last season.
