Paris Saint-Germain drew with Arsenal in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani has told the London Evening Standard that he takes responsibility for the draw against Arsenal.
The French champions hosted the Gunners at the Parc des Princes in their first Champions League group game on Tuesday evening.
They started the game in fine fashion as Cavani headed them into the lead within 42 seconds. However Arsene Wenger’s side managed to secure a point late courtesy of Alexis Sanchez’s strike.
In truth, though, Arsenal were lucky to escape with a point after Cavani had missed a series of clear-cut chances to put the result beyond doubt.

And following the game the strike admitted that he takes responsibility for his side not securing all three points.
“I think we deserved better tonight, so the feeling in the changing room is a bit negative,” he told the London Evening Standard.
“We had chances but we didn’t win. I take responsibility for that because I only scored the one goal and those two points we dropped will be important at the end of the competition.”

While PSG will be disappointed about only coming away with a point, Arsenal will likely be very pleased.
A point away from home against their main rivals in Group A is not a bad result at all and it leaves them firmly in control of their own destiny in the group.
Indeed, it is looking like the second leg against Unai Emery’s team at the Emirates Stadium will be key to deciding which of the two teams finishes in first place.
